                    Question time
Why did you decide to run in this election?

I feel encouraged after the support I received during the local elections. I'm very grateful for that support and for the encouragement I'm receiving again. I hope I take an approach to green politics that people see as being a mix of determination and also being really relevant to everyone's day-to-day life. From housing, to transport, to a real sense of local representation.

What do you think is the greatest issue the country faces right now?

Housing and climate change. We've seen in Cork how these are overlapping issues with extreme floods devastating homes in Glanmire and Midleton. We’ve allowed vested interests and a status quo bias to slow down the urgent need to address them both.

What would you like your first speaking time in the Dáil to be about if you get elected?

I wouldd talk about the privilege and responsibility that comes with representing people and also the agenda that they elected me on. It would be very important for me if I was elected to make sure I left a lasting impression in the time I had in the Dáil, whether it was through legislation or policy.
