Question time
Why did you decide to run in this election?
Animal cruelty is rampant in County Limerick. We need a strong advocate for the voiceless (animals) elected in Dáil Éireann. For example, to end government funding of all blood sports.
What do you think is the greatest issue the country faces right now?
Affordable housing, lower rents, and landlords should not refuse pets. Protection of biodiversity and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by incentivizing a gradual shift away from animal-based agriculture, towards sustainable farming where animal welfare is prioritized. The HSE needs to stop the hiring freeze and reopen Ennis & Nenagh General Hospital 24/7 A&E. It will lessen the huge UHL trolley crisis.
What would you like your first speaking time in the Dáil to be about if you get elected?
Put motions forward to: A) Establishing a Department of Animal Welfare. 2) Recruit and train specialised Gardaí to identify and investigate animal cruelty cases. 3) Integrate animal welfare into all forms of education. 4) Phase out puppy farming, animal testing, and live export.
