Question time
Why did you decide to run in this election?
I feel that it’s time for a Traveller to be an active part of the political forum and tthe decision-making process. My community has been ignored and let down by the Irish government for decades. I was inspired by Aontú’s commonsense solutions to the growing problems affecting all of us and support of the unity of the Irish people, the human right to life and economic justice.
What do you think is the greatest issue the country faces right now?
Not having a government that actively listens to the voters who elected them to office or develop and implement strategic policies that have a more common sense approach to immigration, the cost of living crisis, caregivers payment, an end to the homelessness crisis and provide a better health care system for everyone.
What would you like your first speaking time in the Dáil to be about if you get elected?
Accountability from the Irish government to the Irish Citizens for letting us all down on numerous occasions and a state apology to the Traveller community for all the legislation passed that has had a detrimental impact on us.
