Biography

McDonnell is from Newbridge, Co Kildare, and is a self-employed builder. He was elected to Kildare County Council in the local elections in June. He has gained notoriety for controversial statements such as linking immigration to a plot to replace Irish people. He is also one of the founders of Eire Saor in Newbridge, an umbrella organisation for independent candidates in Kildare.
