Question time
Why did you decide to run in this election?
My focus is Dublin West - that’s what I’ll be elected to represent first and foremost. Dublin West expands at rates unseen in the history of the State yet infrastructure and resources lag far behind and continue to lag far behind. Senior representation at cabinet over the years yet the downward slide continues. This can’t continue, we can no longer stand idly by.
What do you think is the greatest issue the country faces right now?
The lack of support mechanisms for the provision of appropriate and affordable housing, healthcare appears to be a lottery, the cost of living spirals out of control, the continued tangible disregard for children with additional need. Transport infrastructure is virtually non-existent. Taxation to mitigate climate action is not a solution.
What would you like your first speaking time in the Dáil to be about if you get elected?
Dublin West has not seen the benefits of the experience of an Independent voice in Leinster House. Unlike the mainstream parties I can speak for the community without political ideology or dictate at the highest levels. This provides me with a greater cloak to work on behalf of Dublin West.
