Question time
Why did you decide to run in this election?
I am contesting the general election because I believe in the power of representation and change. I am committed to addressing key issues like healthcare, housing, and social justice while amplifying the voices of those who often go unheard. As a candidate, I bring a fresh perspective and a passion for creating a fairer, more inclusive Ireland where every community is valued. I am running to serve the people, challenge the status quo, and work tirelessly for a better future for us all.
What do you think is the greatest issue the country faces right now?
One of the greatest issues Ireland currently faces is the housing crisis. The lack of affordable housing and increasing rents have put immense pressure on families, young people, and vulnerable groups. This crisis affects nearly every aspect of life, from economic growth to social stability, impacting health, well-being, and opportunities for the future. Beyond housing, key issues like healthcare system pressures, the cost of living, and the impact of climate change are also critical challenges that need to be tackled with comprehensive and sustainable policies.
What would you like your first speaking time in the Dáil to be about if you get elected?
The urgent need for housing reform. I would highlight the struggles faced by everyday people, from young families and students to older citizens who cannot find or afford secure housing. The aim would be to push for immediate, practical solutions and call for a comprehensive national strategy to tackle the crisis, prioritizing the needs of the most vulnerable. It’s a crucial issue that touches every aspect of life and requires our immediate and focused attention.
