Biography

Question time
Why did you decide to run in this election?

I am very proud to have had the privilege of representing the people of Kildare South since I was first elected as a Councillor in 2009 and as a Senator in 2020. For the past fifteen years I have worked tirelessly for my constituents, seeking to create a fairer and more equal society. As a member of Dáil Eireann, I believe I can continue this work and be a strong voice for all the people of Kildare South.

What do you think is the greatest issue the country faces right now?

Housing is, without doubt, the biggest crisis facing our country at this time, and one that the present government has failed to address. As one of the richest countries in the EU, this government has let the people down on so many fronts: housing, healthcare, education, carers, the list is endless. People need homes. We need to build houses that people can afford to buy, provide more social and affordable accommodation and ensure that people with disability and older people have their housing adaptation grants and work completed in a timely manner.

What would you like your first speaking time in the Dáil to be about if you get elected?

First of all, I would thank the people of Kildare South for electing me, and putting their trust in Mark Wall to represent them as a member of the 34th Dáil. Secondly, I would ask the newly elected members of Dáil Eireann to look into their hearts and ask themselves “ What more can I do to ensure the best possible future for all our citizens?
