Biography

Pender is a councillor for Newbridge on Kildare County Council. His priorities are housing, the defence forces, mental health, support for disability, and public services.

Question time
Why did you decide to run in this election?

Because enough is enough. As a county councillor for Kildare, I've seen the profound struggles our community faces with inadequate mental health services and a severe housing shortage. These issues, along with insufficient support for our Defence Forces and veterans, demand urgent national attention and action.

What do you think is the greatest issue the country faces right now?

The systemic neglect of mental health and housing, which profoundly affects the quality of life for our citizens, including our Defence personnel and veterans. This crisis not only undermines individual well-being but also our national resilience and productivity.

What would you like your first speaking time in the Dáil to be about if you get elected?

Demanding significant reforms in mental health services and housing policies. We need a comprehensive strategy that includes robust support for our Defence Forces and veterans, ensuring they receive the care and resources essential for their service and sacrifice. This holistic approach is crucial for building a stronger, healthier Ireland.
