Question time
Why did you decide to run in this election?
Galway has never had a Green Party TD and we have never needed that voice more to make Galway a modern progressive city.
What do you think is the greatest issue the country faces right now?
The greatest challenge in front of us remains the tragedy of climate change. We have many immediate issues like housing, healthcare, and the cost of living. It is the task of leaders to focus on the long term prosperity of all of us, and find a way to balance short term and long term priorities.
What would you like your first speaking time in the Dáil to be about if you get elected?
As a Senator I have championed women's health - having personally introduced a motion that brought in free HRT, and as a party we delivered free contraception. We need to continue to have a broader conversation around the role of women in the State and the support that Government Departments give to women and to women's health.
