Carrigy has been a Senator since 2020. He was a councillor on Longford County Council from 2009 until 2020. As well as being chairperson of the County Longford Tourism Committee, he is also Longford's GAA representative. Carrigy ran unsuccessfully for Longford-Westmeath at the 2020 general election.
I am committed to representing the people of Longford and building on our progress together. My career, from local government to the Seanad, has focused on delivering real improvements - enhancing infrastructure, supporting local businesses, improving healthcare, and fostering opportunities. There is still much we can achieve for our community.

I would focus on improving rural infrastructure and services, ensuring equal opportunities and development for all communities.
