Question time
Why did you decide to run in this election?

As someone living and raising my children in the community of Dublin Mid-West, my decision to run in this election stems from a deep commitment to the place I call home. I understand the challenges that people here face and the importance of a strong voice that truly reflects our values and needs. By bringing my passion for public service and my experience as someone living in the constituency, I aim to address the issues that matter most to us—such as public transport, housing, education and accessible and affordable childcare. Ultimately, I am running in this election to make a difference for our community and to ensure that the next generation grows up in an even better Dublin Mid-West.

What do you think is the greatest issue the country faces right now?

Housing. We’ve made a lot of progress over the last five years but I know not everyone is feeling it yet. We have a plan to ramp up home building with significant investment in water, roads and other essential infrastructure to deliver 50,000 a year and up to 60,000 by 2023. Supply is everything and the Fianna Fáil plan will ramp that up. Public transport is also coming up on practically every door I knock on. Here in Dublin Mid-West we are heavily dependent on bus services that are either full or don’t show up. People in Dublin Mid-West need better bus services and more choice when it comes to public transport.

What would you like your first speaking time in the Dáil to be about if you get elected?

I would use it to launch the campaign for a Lucan Luas. I have searched the Dáil record and was astonished to find it has been raised only once over the last five years. We need a Luas in Lucan and I will lead the campaign to get one.
