Question time
Why did you decide to run in this election?

I have a strong record for standing up for the people of Dublin Central on issues across the board. I’m immensely proud to represent Dublin Central where I’ve been a TD since 2020 and a Councillor since 2014. I’m running because I believe the Social Democrats and I have the answers to the intractable issues we face, and that we can make a real difference to people’s lives.

What do you think is the greatest issue the country faces right now?

A lack of political will to invest in quality public services. We need to invest in housing, in a public childcare model, in Sláintecare which would make healthcare free at the point of use. Investing in quality public services would lessen the cost of living crisis and increase our quality of life.

What would you like your first speaking time in the Dáil to be about if you get elected?

Raising the key issues facing Dublin City centre. For decades, Dublin has suffered due to a lack of leadership and vision. A multi-agency response is required to restore our capital to its former glory. This means tackling creeping dereliction, heavily littered streets, poor lighting and having a targeted community policing response in place that is not reliant on garda overtime.
