O'Heney won a seat at the local elections this year as a first-time candidate, topping the polls in the Tipperary-Cashel LEA. He has a Masters in Education and has worked as a teacher for a decade. Currently working with the Knockanrawley Resource Centre in community development, he wants to support small businesses and rural communities.
