Question time
Why did you decide to run in this election?
The reality of climate change and biodiversity loss is playing out on our TV screens in real time. I entered politics to secure a better future for my children, and that imperative to change has never been more clear or more urgent. Making that positive change is the reason I'm running.
What do you think is the greatest issue the country faces right now?
Facing up to climate change is the challenge of our generation. We have made real positive progress in the last government, and the opportunity for Ireland to be leaders in this space is huge.
What would you like your first speaking time in the Dáil to be about if you get elected?
Waterford! And not just as a local politician - Waterford is a great example of the opportunity we have, if we can capitalise on it. Investment in public transport, development of renewable energy, balanced regional development - these are core objectives set out in the Green Party manifesto, and Waterford is a prime area for each of those to be put into practice.
