Biography

Question time
Why did you decide to run in this election?

I decided to run as I have been able to deliver significant infrastructure projects for Galway over the last nearly five years and I want to continue to deliver for them for the next five.

What do you think is the greatest issue the country faces right now?

The greatest issue the country faces right now is international economic uncertainty. With the situation in the Middle East, Ukraine and a new President in the United States, now is not the time to risk our economic survival on untested and uncosted promises. There is more work to be done in housing and other areas and more projects to be delivered in my constituency. To do that, we need a sound economy. Fine Gael has a proven track record in that regard.

What would you like your first speaking time in the Dáil to be about if you get elected?

We need to pass the Occupied Territories Bill and I would like to be able to speak in support of that as soon as the Dáil returns.
