Biography
Thomas Welby is from Oughterard, and has served as a county councillor since 2004. He was cathaoirleach of Galway County Council from 2012 to 2013. He was a member of Fianna Fáil until 2003, when he joined the Progressive Democrats, before becoming an independent in 2008.
