Cillian Keane is originally from Oranmore. He was elected to Galway County Council in the 2024 local elections for the Athenry-Oranmore area. He works as a racecourse groundsman and holds a degree from UCD in food and agri-business. He is being pitched as an "independent-minded government TD" by Fianna Fáil. He is prioritising healthcare infrastructure and business supports.
