Question Time

Q.

Why should someone vote for you?

I am a new, hungry, capable voice. I am approachable, warm and have a good sense of humour but I am resilient and have a very strong work ethic. I will fight for maintaining and improving public services, listen to people’s concerns and act accordingly for the better of people in Laois and Offaly.

Q.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

To continue to ensure no downgrade of Portlaoise Hospital.

Q.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Raise three PQs. First, argue for a simple information campaign showing simple steps to do at home to reduce carbon emissions. Second, raise the issue of the lack of pension scheme for community employment supervisors. Third, continue to seek clarification in relation to Portlaoise Hospital. I will also organise a free bus inviting my constituents on a tour of Leinster House with a stop off at the Dáil Bar for a cup of tea or to have whatever tipple people might like. And yes – I will pay for it.
