Biography

Ó Cuív was first elected to the Dáil in 1992. He has been re-elected at every general election since. He was a Senator from 1989 to 1992. He is the Fianna Fáil spokesperson on regional development, rural affairs and the Gaeltacht. He was previously Minister for Social Protection and Community Affairs respectively. He was a member of Galway County Council from 1991 to 1997.
