Biography

Murnane O'Connor was elected to the Seanad in 2016. She is the Fianna Fáil Seanad spokesperson on housing, planing and local government. She was co-opted onto Carlow Urban District Council in 1999. She unsuccessfully ran in the 2016 general election.

Why should someone vote for you?

I have been working hard for the people of Co Carlow since 1999, and particularly since my election to the Seanad in 2016. Your Issues are my Issues.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

The provision of local authority, affordable housing and a women’s refuge.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Provide the funding, long-promised by the current government but not delivered, to guarantee a new school for The Holy Angels in Carlow.
