Funchion is the Sinn Féin spokesperson on children and youth affairs. She was first elected as a TD in the 2016 general election. She has a degree in sociology and a post-graduate qualification in employment law. She was first elected as a councillor in 2009.

I have a good track record of working hard in this constituency and have always stood up for people. The current issues in housing, health childcare and other sectors will be far worse if we have four more years of FF/FG. We badly need a total change in government.

The issues of housing, health, services for people with additional needs or disabilities and more are all important issues that need to be addressed.

Sinn Féin will take on the housing crisis and solve it, tackle the trolley crisis, ensure gardaí and the courts have the resources they need, and put more money back into peoples' pockets.
