Biography
McNamara is a former member of the Labour Party and was elected as a Labour TD for Clare in 2011. McNamara voted against the government three times during his time as TD and was expelled from the Labour Party in 2015 as a result. He lost his seat in the 2016 general election and is now running as an Independent candidate. He is a qualified barrister.
