Collins has been a TD since first elected in 2007. He is a former accountant and CEO of the Shannon Regional Fisheries Board. He is also a former lecturer at Limerick IT. He has served on the Public Accounts Committee and the Oireachtas Justice and Foreign Affairs Committee.

I work hard on a full-time basis to help people, their families and community. My motivation is to make peoples' lives better. I believe in a fair and equal Ireland for all.

Limerick has the worst-performing health service and hospital network due to government inaction and lack of proper resourcing. This is the stand out, top issue in Limerick.

The new government must address the health crisis in Limerick and the Mid-West.
