Biography

Ó Maoláin works as a policy analyst. During the financial crisis, he emigrated to Norway where he says he witnessed first-hand the potential of social democracy to build a fair, equal and just society.

Why should someone vote for you?

I am a passionate, critical activist who believes we deserve politicians we can trust to act in the best interests of the people of Ireland.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Housing and ending homelessness. I also want to focus on helping first-time buyers get a home for themselves and their families.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Introduce a Renters' Rights Bill, supporting people to stay in their homes and implementing an immediate national rent freeze.
