Richmond was first elected to Seanad Éireann in 2016. Within the Seanad, he is the Fine Gael spokesperson on EU Affairs and Chairman of the Brexit Committee. He is a former political advisor and project manager and was a county councillor for seven years.

I have been a councillor and a Senator, I now want to take the next step and become a TD so I can continue to work hard for all the people of this country and bring a fresh dynamic to Dail Éireann that is both outward looking and progressive.
