Madigan was first elected to the Dáil in the 2016 general election. She was appointed as Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht in 2017. She was elected to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in the 2014 local elections. She worked as a solicitor for 20 years.

I want to continue delivering for the people of Dublin Rathdown at both local and national level. I've achieved new schools for Goatstown, Stepaside and Ballinteer and nationally, I've reformed the divorce laws and helped launch the Climate Action Plan to tackle climate change.

Under this government, our economy has grown strongly, there is a job for everyone who wants one and wages are rising. We now have the resources, so I want to see more investment in health, education and childcare as well as employing more nurses, doctors, teachers and gardaí.
