Montague was first elected to Dublin City Council in 2004 and was re-elected in 2009 and 2014. He was the Deputy Lord Mayor of Dublin in 2004. He is a former member of the North West Area Committee and chairperson of the Planning and International Relations SPC. He is from Santry and now lives in Ballymun.

I’m asking people to vote for me because I think we are all tired of the talking shop. They want real change and I have a track record of getting things done.

My number one priority for our constituency is quality of life for all of us who live here. We need to feel secure our homes and not be trapped under the weight of huge mortgages and rents. We need the security of knowing our health services will be there when we need them.

here’s so much that needs to be done, it’s hard to pick just one, but in my first 100 days in Dáil I would tighten legislation around land-hoarding so that speculators aren’t making money by sitting on land that could be used for homes.
