Gannon has been a councillor on Dublin City Council since 2014. He unsuccessfully ran in the 2016 general election and the 2019 MEP elections for Dublin. He is the Social Democrats spokesperson on education equality and access. He has a degree in history and political science. He previously worked as a career guidance advocate for early school leavers.

A vote for me is a vote to see increased investment in the early years sector and extending paid parental leave. It is a vote to implement Sláintecare, a vote to build a programme of public housing and for a referendum on the right to housing.

Ensure that the promised site of conscience to survivors and victims of institutional abuse is completed, re-open Fitzgibbon Street Garda Station and develop a national anti-poverty strategy.

The problems we face in Dublin Central will not be fixed in 100 days, but I promise that if elected, I will ensure that the people of Dublin Central, and our long-term vision for our great city, will be my priority for the entire term.
