Biography

Burke has served as a Senator since 2016. He is the Fine Gael Seanad spokesperson on health. He was an MEP for Ireland South from 2007 to 2009. He was a member of Cork City Council from 1995 to 2007. He also served as Lord Mayor of Cork from 2003 to 2004. He is a qualified solicitor.

As Senator, former MEP and Lord Mayor, I have a proven track record, ensuring that the interests of Cork and Ireland have been protected locally, nationally and in Europe

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Health - I want to see a new elective hospital for Cork.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Re-introduce the Professional Home Care Bill I previously proposed to the Seanad in 2016.
