Biography
Deering was first elected to the Dáil in 2011. He is chairperson of the Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture, Food and Marine. He was first elected to Carlow County Council in 2009. He is the former chairman of Carlow County GAA Board and a member of the Irish Farmers' Association. He has a dairy farm and is interested in Irish history.
