O'Donnell was first elected to Donegal County Council in 2014. He retained his seat in the 2019 local elections.
I’m running as an Independent candidate in the general election because I believe the people of Donegal need a new voice in Dáil Éireann. I have a proven track record delivering for my constituency, now I want to deliver more for all of Donegal.
I will challenge the lack of investment into this county and fight for more funding for Donegal. I want to be the voice that gets Donegal heard in Dáil Éireann and I’m determined to deliver for the people of this county by addressing the issues facing our rural communities and larger towns.
There are so many things that need urgent attention, but healthcare is a priority... Securing the future of disability services in Donegal, stopping the increase in pension age and pushing for the roll-out of the Mica Redress Scheme are other top priorities.
