Biography

Elected first to Galway County Council in 2004, he ran unsuccessfully for both the Dáil and the Seanad before securing a seat in 2011. He has a master's degree in agricultural science and is a member of a number of Dáil committees, including the Committee on Jobs, Social Protection and Education and the Committee on European Union Affairs.

Why should someone vote for you (in 140 characters or fewer)?

So that I can continue working for the people of Galway - to champion job creation, investment in services, & build a better Ireland for all.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Keeping the recovery going for Galway West & Mayo South through continued job creation, responsible spending, lower taxes, & targeted investment.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Create an action plan for regional development akin to jobs plan & tackle unbalanced development, a source of many of our country's problems.
