Biography
The current leader of Fianna Fáil, he was first elected as a TD in 1989. Since his election he has served in four cabinet posts, including Minister for Education (1997-2000) and more recently Minister for Foreign Affairs (2008-2011). He was elected as leader of Fianna Fáil in January 2011.

Why should someone vote for you (in 140 characters or fewer)?
I am extremely passionate and committed to public service. I work hard to deliver a fair society for the people of Cork & across the country.
What is your number one priority for your constituency?
I want to ensure that the economic recovery reaches Cork, in order to best help people who are still struggling in this two tiered Ireland.
What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?
Cut USC and plan to abolish it. Help businesses create more jobs & improve services including the provision of housing; abolish Irish Water.
