Biography

An activist and software engineer, he ran unsuccessfully for Cork City Council in the 2014 local elections. He is the founder of Second Republic, which campaigns for political reform in Ireland. He is also the co-founder of Wikimedia Ireland, which aims to grow the impact of Wikipedia in Ireland.

Question time
Why should someone vote for you (in 140 characters or fewer)?

I'm best known as a political reform activist with Second Republic. Since 2009 I've helped the Greens rediscover its activist roots in Cork.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

An economy that values people. The worst of austerity was how it treated families, young people, the unemployed, the homeless like numbers.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Introduce a referendum bill for citizen initiatives. If we've learnt anything over the crisis it is that ordinary people need more of a say.
