Biography

Co-opted onto Cork County Council in 1997, he has retained his seat at every local election since then. He ran unsuccessfully for a Dáil seat in 2011. He is a member of the South West Regional Authority and is a farmer by profession.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Job creation is vital and to increase sustainability for Small Businesses and Town Centres in Cork East and to ensure our agricultural sector is productive and sustainable

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

To lobby EU Agricultural Ministers in order to enact immediate action by the EU Commission to resolve the income crisis facing farming and especially the grain, dairy and pig sectors.

Why should someone vote for you (in 140 characters or fewer)?

I work directly on the issues that matter to the people of Cork East. I have a great understanding of what they require and what matters to them.
