Elected on his first attempt as a Cork county councillor in 2014, this is his first time running for general election. A former member of Sinn Féin, he left the party recently after failing to be selected as a candidate for the party. He is involved with community organisations in his area, including the GAA and campaigns on an anti-austerity platform.
