Biography
This is first time running for a general election after he ran unsuccessfully in the 2014 local elections. A primary school teacher by profession, he is a graduate of St Patrick's College and is a local activist in his area. He has been involved with the Right2Water and Yes Equality campaigns.
Question time
Why should someone vote for you (in 140 characters or fewer)?
I will be a progressive and strong left independent who will not hide behind a party whip when it comes to budgets and legislation to tackle the inequalities in our society.
What is your number one priority for your constituency?
The housing crisis, which needs to be invested in through capital expenditure and the building of sustainable social housing. I am in favour of rent being tagged to inflation.
What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?
I would like to introduce legislation which would end discrimination against children in school enrolment based on their religion.
