Biography
The president of Sinn Féin, he served for nearly 30 years as a non-sitting MP in the British Parliament before running in the Irish general election in 2011 and being elected as a TD. He was a prominent figure throughout the Northern Ireland Troubles and the negotiation of the Good Friday Agreement.

Why should someone vote for you (in 140 characters or fewer)?
Because Sinn Féin is for a fair recovery, quality public services including jobs, a decent health service, housing for all and a united Ireland.
What is your number one priority for your constituency?
Returning key services to Louth County Hospital; ending trolley waits in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital; reducing the housing list and tackling crime.
What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?
To abolish domestic water charges and the family home tax.
