Biography
A Galway city councillor, she was first elected for Labour in 1999 and has been re-elected each time since. Now an independent, she ran twice for the general election, in 2007 and 2011, failing to get elected each time. A barrister by profession, she formerly worked as a clinical psychologist and is a former mayor of Galway.
