Biography
First elected to South Dublin County Council in 1999, he has been re-elected at every vote since. He failed to secure a Dáil seat in a 2014 by-election. A former teacher, he was previously special adviser to former government chief whip Tom Kitt.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?
Health and people’s security; funding for tourism projects; co-locating childcare/primary school facilities to drive down costs; social/private housing.
What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?
Working with my colleagues to get the security of people in their homes on the agenda of whatever government is elected and to deliver.
