Biography

He was first co-opted onto South Dublin County Council in 2008 and retained his seat in the 2009 elections. He failed to win a seat in the 2011 general election but was re-elected to the Council in 2014 and is currently the Fine Gael group leader and the chairperson of the Transport SPC on the council.

Colm is a new candidate with a strong business background who is focused on job creation and tax reduction.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Besides increasing the number of people employed, it is to ensure funding is made available for local services especially An Garda Siochana.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Highlight issues facing people with disabilities and, if necessary, produce a private members' bill to effect changes to ensure greater equality.
