She ran unsuccessfully in the 2011 general election for the People Before Profit Alliance. A teacher by profession, she has been involved in local campaigns against the water charges and has advocated for rent controls.

I am not a ‘conventional politician'. I am a socialist and believe in doing politics differently.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

I will be working for constituents and building a consensus for change through people power and grassroots organisation.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Abolish the water charges.
