Biography

A member of Dublin City Council since 2004, he ran unsuccessfully in the 2011 general election. He served previously as the Lord Mayor of Dublin and runs his own engineering company. He is the governor and a member of the Executive Committee of the National Maternity Hospital.

Why should someone vote for you (in 140 characters or fewer)?

Put my 12 years of local experience to work from Fairview to Howth so that the interests of Dublin Bay North are to the fore on the national stage.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Introduce property tax relief for those senior citizens living in their family homes in Dublin who have limited means and no way of earning additional income.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Provide cheaper childcare and better after-school care as well as additional support for hard-working families still shouldering most of the recession's burden.
