Biography

Elected first as a south Dublin county councillor in 1999, she became a senator in 2002 after failing to secure a Dáil seat in the 2002 general election. A long-standing member of the Labour Party, she was elected to the Dáil in 2008 and retained her seat in 2011.

If they're happy with my work representing them, want a Labour voice for their constituency and in Government, and a TD that speaks her mind.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Employment.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Introduce an open, transparent and single tier hospital waiting list for appointments, tests and procedures based on need not ability to pay.
