Last week the Dáil voted to retain the Dáil prayer and also to add a 30 second moment of reflection.
Three amendments that would have gotten rid of the Dáil prayer were voted down today.
It’s proposed a 30-second moment of silence will take place after the daily prayer.
It is a requirement under the Dáil rules that a sitting cannot begin without the prayer being read.
