The Tánaiste said he’d dare to put money on pubs re-opening indoors in July.
There were some nerves, some hope and a great deal of sympathy for the wet pubs still closed in the capital today.
Pubs have been closed for six months. They’re hoping the 21st September date isn’t another false dawn.
The Acting Chief Medical Officer said that NPHET weren’t in a position to recommend that pubs reopen from 31 August.
So-called wet pubs don’t expect to be permitted to re-open any time soon.
The country will not now move to Phase 4 on 20 July as planned.
