The offences for which people were arrested include theft, assault, and sale and supply of illegal drugs.
The arrests took place yesterday by the Gardaí’s Carlow-Kilkenny division.
The arrests were for a number of different offences including theft, assault and burglary.
Increased high visibility foot patrols were carried out across 18 neighbourhoods in the city.
The day-long operation was part of an Operation Thor offshoot codenamed Project Storm.
The searches were carried out over the past three days.
A total of fifty trainee gardaí from the Garda College Templemore assisted in the operation.
