Biography

The chairperson of the Banking Inquiry, he was first elected to the Dáil in 2007. Previously, he was a Cork city councillor from 2004 to 2007 and is the former chairperson of the Oireachtas Finance Committee.

I believe in hard work & my work has helped restore stability & growth, improve public services, to make our communities better places in which to live & raise a family.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

My priority is to ensure Cork is the driver of economic growth for the south, a place for business, employment, educational opportunities & a destination for visitors.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Delivering social housing provision & support and ensuring working people have the opportunity to buy a home of their own in an affordable and sustainable way.
