Biography
Elected as a senator in 2011, he had previously served as a TD from 2007 but failed to get re-elected in 2011. He also ran unsuccessfully for European Parliament on two occasions. The Fianna Fáil Seanad spokesperson on public expenditure and reform, he has authored a number of bills and is a member of a number of Oireachtas committees.

Why should someone vote for you (in 140 characters or fewer)?
Meath East needs a TD who will work very hard for the people. I've led on important local and national issues and will continue if elected.
What is your number one priority for your constituency?
The welfare and well-being of the people of Meath East. Whether through their economic, social, environmental or community betterment.
What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?
With Dáil, Seanad & legal experience, I'll be ready on day one to be a TD. To make and change laws, and to deliver for the people of Meath East.
