The incident happened at the Eid al-Adha celebration in Croke Park in July.
“Your community has shown selfless dedication in the administration of healthcare and on the frontline,” Muslim worshipers were told.
Guests at the event will include Minister Roderic O’Gorman, Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, Archbishop Michael Jackson, and Rabbi Zalman Lent.
Organisers hope the government will give special consideration to the event similar to that given to places of worship after a request from the Archbishop of Dublin earlier this month.
The claim was made by TheLiberal.ie ahead of Eid Al Adha celebrations in Croke Park this summer.
It is expected that 500 people will be able to attend the celebration in order to allow for social distancing.
Croke Park is the preferred setting for the celebration of the next major event on the Muslim calendar.
